1959 Beginner Books Dust Jacket Back 'D'
First Edition B-08 to B-12
Beginner Book Dust Jacket Back 'D' lists all twelve books that were being published im 1959 for the Beginner Book franchise. It is uncommon to find copies of B-01 The Cat In The Hat with this back DJ.
Note that the publisher is 'Beginner Books, Inc', 'Distributed by RANDOM HOUSE', since in 1959 Beginner Books was a separate publishing entity and not yet owned by Random House.
First Edition Book B-08 to B-12
The first edition book for Beginner Books B-08, B-09, B-10, and B-12 states "First Printing" at the beginning of the first line of the copyright statement.

Of these five first edition books sharing Beginner Book DJ Back 'D', only Beginner Book B-11 Bennett Cerf's Book Of Laughs does not state 'First Printing' on the copyright page.
