Beginner Books DJ Back 'O' lists thirty seven titles which were published prior to 1966 for the Beginner Book franchise. The three missing titles are:

It is unclear whether these three books were taken out of publication, or whether their titles were simply excluded from the list.

Three new titles were introduced in 1965, and while all three books are among the 37 books listed on Beginner Book DJ Back 'O', however none of their first editions have this DJ configuration:

Beginner Books DJ Back 'O' was used by Random House during most of 1965 for the publication of the reprints of the earlier Beginner Books. It is quite common to find the earlier Beginner Books with this 1965 DJ configuration.

A peculiarity of Beginner Books DJ Back 'O' is the spelling of Fox In Socks, misspelled as 'FOX IN SOX'. While phonetically correct, 'FOX IN SOX' was never corrected on DJ 'O', therefore Fox In Socks was misspelled for the entirety of the year.
